1. Value per rarity: how much value an item packs compared with alternatives at the same rarity.
2. Buy-request frequency: how often players in active lobbies asked for the item by name, not just accepted it passively in a deal.
3. Demand stability: whether the item held its value after the initial week-one rush when new players flood into the game.

Mutations are priced at x3.5 of the base value, matching the value calculator on this site. Tier placements were not adjusted for mutation-exclusive demand because mutated C and D items still lag behind non-mutated B items in most real trades.

SGR Studios does not publish official tier rankings, so everything here comes from direct observation. The placements will shift as the game ages. The movement I expect next is in A-tier: Azure Shumai has been trading above its listed value in several lobbies over the past week. If that pattern holds for another two to three weeks, it could realistically push toward A-tier's top spot.

One thing I try to avoid is letting raw value numbers do all the work. Rainbow Bao is technically the highest-value item at around 1,200, but treating it as more tradeable than Crystal Dumpling is misleading for most players. It barely circulates. Crystal Dumpling matters more for day-to-day trading strategy, which is why both get S-tier placement despite the 350-point gap.

The same logic applies at the bottom. Plain Bun and Starter Wonton get dismissed quickly, but they serve a real purpose in fractional trades where neither side wants to overpay by a large margin. D-tier is not a ranking of bad items. It is a ranking of items with limited solo-trade potential.

B Tier: solid for building toward A

Terracotta Bun is the strongest B-tier item and frequently closes value gaps in multi-item trades. Silver Wonton and Bamboo Gyoza work best when offered together rather than individually. A single B-tier item in a solo trade usually moves slowly. Pairing two of them or waiting for someone who needs to fill a gap is a better approach.

C and D Tier: useful stepping stones, not long-term holds

C-tier items are fine to keep for a week or two, but the goal should be stacking two or three toward a B-tier item. They move well early in the game's life when new players are still collecting their first few dumplings. That window closes faster than most players expect.
